Make Jail Times Longer

Make jail times longer than 3 hours.
What are the benefits of your suggestion for the server?
A person who is jailed while offline faces no consequences for their actions if they come back later. There is a potential to jail a user for 3 hours and them not even know if they don't get on in that time frame. Therefore, they will continue their illegal actions. Make it days long.
Will this require a new plugin or a change to an existing one? If so, which one.
